PGDM – Full Time –AICTE Approved
Objective
The objectives of the full-time PGDM programme is to facilitate the development of individuals as:
- Proficient managers who respond to the socio-economic and organizational challenges of the present global environment.
- Contributors to national development by promising a better quality of life.
- Creative managers with the spirit of innovation and an urge to excel.
- Responsible individuals committed to quality, social responsibility and to the betterment of the less privileged.

Overview
The period of study for the course is 2 years. The program is designed into 6 trimesters, and major dissertation for 3 months, during the final trimester.
- PGDM FT gives intensive industry focus.
- It broadly covers 40 papers with overall credit of 350 hours per trimester out of which 32 papers are compulsory and 8 are electives in various streams.
- This program is specially designed to meet the industrial standards, with high level of faculty resource both from industry and top reputed institutions.

PGDM – Part Time-AICTE Approved
Objective
The objective of the three-year part time PGDM focuses on equipping the working executives:
- To acquire managerial skills necessary to take up senior management assignments.
- To make them to adopt themselves in their own industrial work atmosphere.
- To create in their mindsets a willingness to learn the latest management mantras to take them to the platform of Business Ready Managers.
Overview
The period of study for this course is spread over 3 years. The program is designed into 9 trimesters, each trimester consisting of not less than 120 working hours and major dissertation for 3 months as the 9th trimester.
- The objective of the three-year part time PGDM is to equip working executives acquire managerial skills necessary to take up senior management.
- The course is accordingly structured where the part time programme go through the same rigour as the full-time programme.
- Executives aspiring to learn latest management mantras and take their next level of career growth are best suited to this programme.
- The course will cover 40 papers followed by 32 compulsory and 8 electives. Overall, it is split up with 9 trimesters 300 working hours per year.
- This program is specially designed to meet the industrial standards, with high level of faculty resource both from industry and top reputed institutions.

Eligibility
The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a Recognised University (AIU).
A candidate who is in the final year of Bachelor's Degree/equivalent qualification can also apply, and if selected, will be allowed to join the programme only if a provisional certificate is submitted from the Principal/Registrar of the college/institute stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements (The results may, however, be awaited for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification).
Admission Procedure
1. Those who have passed CAT/MAT/XAT/TANCET shall apply for the course.
2. Others have to appear for the Entrance Test conducted by MSSM.
For applying to MSSM
a) Get a demand draft (DD) for Rs.500/- favouring INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY payable at Chennai
Or
b) Pay Rs. 500/- by cash in person.

The courses offered as part of the full time PGDM programme not only imparts knowledge in the arts and science of modern management and hones the managerial skills in students but also develops their overall personality. Emphasis is placed on developing leadership qualities, communication skills, team building sensitivity to ethical issues, With continuous review from the Faculty and industry, MSSM constantly redesigns and restructures the curriculum to make it relevant to meet the needs of today's managers.
